† Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Sobor, Vancouver

During summer of 2010 the parishioners of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) – Irina and Mikhail Beletsky several times visited our parish. Both of them are active members of the Church.
Michael – Analyst of inter-confessional problems in Ukraine, journalist, politician, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences.
Irina – doctor of philology, the author of several films, books and articles on the topic “Christianity and Modern Civilization”, the granddaughter of the priest, who was shot by the Bolsheviks in 1938.
Our guests donated to our parish the next movie by Irina “Ivan and Plato Sechbo”, and her book “At the threshold of a life”. The film is dedicated to the memory of the family drama in the period of repression of the Church.
