Everybody invited to our Sobor for Theophany celebration and Blessing of the Pacific Ocean

Dear parishioners and everybody
here is the schedule of the Theophany Feast at our Sobor

January 18 at 6 PM – Vigil on the Eve of the Theophany and Blessing of Water Everybody could take home newly blessed water.

January 19 at 10 AM – Holy Theophany. Liturgy.

January 19 at 6.30 PM Blessing of the Pacific Ocean.
Meeting at: Vancouver, Kitsilano beach, at the parking lot. This is at crossing Arbutus and Cornwall ave. Please, do not forget to pay $1 for parking.
The service will last 35-40 minutes. After the service you could submerge in the newly blessed ocean water.
Notes: The temperature in the evening will be about +1 C. Light snow.

For the service better to have warm cloth, take umbrellas and lights. The shoes – for wet sand.
The church candles will be taken from the church. It will be possible to buy some.
Transport: For those without cars, please click on the map below “View Larger Map”. Enter your address, choose Public Transit, and click Get Directions.
On the shore there is no lighting. Please enter the water together with others, and help each other when dipping.
Competitors are requested not to float away into the darkness. Choose to swim later.
