2000 – President’s Annual Report

Respected Father Michael, honored members of the Church Council, honored members of the Russian Orthodox Society, honored members of our Parish and all present.

The first year of the new millennium has quickly passed.

During this period your Council as usual achieved many tasks and decisions affecting our Church and Parish Community.

In general the past year was a success, but we encountered some financial difficulties despite the fact that the planned budget was achieved.

Luck fully for us we received some very generous help from Mrs.Klassen, who saved us.

As always during these past twelve months we had many changes in our housekeeping and in the Parish. We re-roofed and black topped the Rectory.

We also renovated part of the sewage system, what should have been done long ago.

We purchased a commercial type dough mixer for the kitchen and numerous others minor items.

We also had changes in our Church especially in the Choir. We obtained the services of a new choirmaster – Kirill Bolshakov. We have high hopes for him since he is very talented.

By the way, I would like to ask those of you who can sing to contact him and join the choir.

I want to thank of course all those, who sing in the choir. Thank you for help and hard work.

Now I want to mention those of you among us who were outstanding during this period.

Let us thank Olga Fetissoff for her labor and effort. For the fact that she is our treasurer. This is a very onerous and difficult position, which she has been handling for very many years. Regarding her there are many other achievements I am not going to even mention them since she has so many.

We also should give thanks to our auditors G. Vishniakof, Sandra Eois and Nettica Volrich.

Let us thank our Sisterhood. Ludmilla Daryalov, Nina Chudin, and let us remember Tamara Mihailoff, who will never be with us again.

And let us also thank all the other women who helped out!

They completed their assignment with honors last year.

The Charity branch of our Church was led successfully by Raisa Kolesmkov who showed so much concern for the children’s’ hospitals in Russia and who led the drive for the Saroktash orphanage.

Let us thank matushka Elena and Nina Nevolsky and all the ladies who supervised the Church school and who performed so well.

They also treated us to some wonderful Christmas concerts.

Let us tumor Larissa Tkatschow who was our secretary and office manager.

We hove to mention Arthur Kostiha who for many years was a Council member and president and who now so ably performs the duties of the Church warden.

Let us thank our Clergy: Father Michael, Father Andrew and all who serve in the altar: Vadim Shestakoff, Denis Stepanyak, and all the rest.

Let us thank our clergy for their assistance and moral support to many of our parishioners.

Because of you our Church exists and will prosper.

May God give you Happiness, Good Health and Prosperity.

Respectfully Your President

Igor Chudin.
