My Journeys to Holy Resurrection

by Subdeacon Dennis Lessard

When I asked Vladika Seraphim, in the early 1996, which parish I could attend close to downtown Vancouver where I was planning to visit from Montreal for several weeks, His Grace referred me to Holy Resurrection and Father Andrey. He also said, "bring your cassock, you might be of some help there"...

Since then I have been returning every year, always happy to find myself within your community, like in a home away from home. In fact, for the past two years, I was granted permission to reside in the basement suite of the rectory, where I couldn't be closer to church!

In April 1998, I was fortunate to travel with Sub deacon Constantine from Vancouver to Saint Innocent Orphanage in Baja California, Mexico, for a very unique experience of Christian spiritual nourishment, and a way to make valuable new friends.

Many years to your parish and to you all!
