† Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Sobor, Vancouver

In the evening on January 19 the parishioners of our church gathered at Kitsilano beach. There were 34 people. After moleben not less than half of the parishioners submerged and swam in the Ocean. After changing cloths we drank tea and eat some prepared food. Everybody’s inspiration was difficult to stop – nobody wanted to go home. The feeling of unity with each other and our God we shall remember for ever. Next year the number of parishioners on the blessing of the Ocean will definitely increase.
