The Miracle-Working, Myrrh-streaming icon of the Most Holy Mother of God “The Softening of Evil Hearts” visited Holy Trinity and Saint Nicholas Churches (Diocese of Montreal and Canada, ROCOR) in Vancouver, B.C. on September 10-th, 11-th and 12-th, 2013.

Icon history: Myrrh-streaming icon is not old, it is modern, created in Sofrino. Icon started myrrh-streaming on May 3, 1998 in the Moscow apartment of her owner Margaret Vorobieva. In 1999, before the explosions of houses in Moscow, the face of the Virgin on the icon has changed, there were dark under-eye circles, and there was a smell of incense in the apartment.

On August 12, 2000, the day of the catastrophe of the submarine “Kursk”, tiny bleeding wounds appeared on the icon. Since then myrrh-streaming and bleeding was accompanied by the incessant and fragrance. For storage of this shrine precious ark was made, and in a village Bachurina near Moscow church was built.
