THE SUNDAY SCHOOL (Jan.1999)

This year’s attendance was better with a total of eight children in my class. They were taught how to make the sign of the cross, the Lord’s Prayer, the proper way to go to Communion, as well as many Bible stories.

We finished a number of projects, including two burlap banners, posters that were displayed in our classroom, and everyone participated in the Christmas concert and the Children’s concert. Our performance at the Christmas concert was a hit. We had a recital of poems, beautiful Christmas carols were sung with everyone dressed in Nativity scene attire. The Children’s concert was to celebrate the end of the Sunday school year. Each child received a certificate, and we had a tie for the Best Attendance award (Oksana and Galya Krause).

This has been a very productive Sunday school year, and I’m hoping to see some new faces this fall, as it is so important for children to keep Jesus in their lives!
